Student Affairs

  • The current draft of a “Program Wrap-up” Form, which I created in order to collect program attendance and assessment data from over 250 staff members. [form]
  • In October 2017, I presented a small group poster at the Indiana Student Affairs Association (ISAA) conference, held at Indiana State University. [poster]
  • As part of my professional development course, I created a report providing an overview of my technology competency. [pdf]
  • In December 2018, my research group presented “An Exploratory Analysis of the School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering Living Learning Center. One of the penultimate requirements for my master’s program, we weaved together student development theory and environmental theories to better understand the gendered experiences of students within this LLC.   • Collaborated with a colleague of mine to create a practitioner-oriented paper outlining the CommUnity Educator (CUE) program at IU-Bloomington as an exemplary practice. [pdf]
  • Paper discussing applications of an existential psychotherapy orientation to support an atheist client. [pdf]
  • A case brief of Shandoo vs. Mississipi University Board of Trustees, a seminal case in shaping freedom of speech on college and university campuses as well as the role of campus judicial processes. [pdf]

Institutional Research

  • A simple data visualization and analysis created for my introductory institutional research course [pdf]
  • Collaborated with two colleagues to develop a hypothetical survey that could be administered to on-campus students to assess their experiences with the residential life judicial process [pdf]

Teaching

I’ve had the opportunity to teach two courses during my time so far at IU. Please see below for brief course descriptions and syllabi.

EDUC-U450: Foundations of Residential Leadership (Spring 2018, Spring 2019) 

This 2-credit course is a required component of the student staff selection process in the Department of Residential Life at IU-Bloomington, and surveys a variety of areas, including: leadership skills, conflict management, and social justice. [syllabus]

EDUC-U207: Leadership Training (Spring 2019)

This 2-credit course is designed to introduce students to foundational principles of leadership, including a survey of leadership theories, the role of identity in leadership development, and ethical dimensions of leadership. The course is part of the LEAD IU program, housed in The Student Involvement and Leadership Center. [syllabus]
